work at home
Gary Fumeaux asked:

There are many legitimate work from home business on the internet and otherwise. Internet and web technology has created a revolution around the world and everybody is benefitting from it.

Besides the internet there is legitimate work from home for people who have the enthusiasm and keenness to do something on their own. The satisfaction of having your own set up gives a sense of freedom which a 9-5 job cannot give you.

Legitimate work from home business is for men and women who wish to carve a niche for themselves. Some of the well known legitimate work from home business are opening a day care, tuition classes for school kids, music and dance sessions for children, yoga and meditation sessions.

For legitimate work from home business you need to get a license from your local authority. If you are certified by the local authority then your clientele will increase.

To start a legitimate work from home day care facility you should first be passionate about kids. Then you can get your basement ready by getting it child proofed and with all the necessary equipment required for kids. Many states require day care centers to provide a minimum area per child, both inside and outside the building, plus at least one hot meal per day. Make sure you know the regulations in your area, and then design your legitimate work from home business plan to meet these regulations.

Initially you may have an investment if you wish to start a day care. But if you start with babysitting then that requires nil expense. Legitimate work from home business is well paying and slowly you can build up on your own and establish a day care center.

With more and more single moms forced to work to earn a living there is a need for good quality day care and babysitting facility. Legitimate work from home business can be paying as well as give you satisfaction that you are being helpful to others.

Other qualities a legitimate home business must have are:

Proven Business System - Is there a proven successful business system you can tap into and get up and running very quickly? You don’t want to spend all of your time reinventing the wheel or trying to make a bad home business system work.

Length of Time in Business - I would not invest my time, money, and resources into any home business opportunity that has not been successfully in business for at least five years. Most scams, schemes, and other bad business opportunities will not make it to the five year mark.

No Hyped Guarantees - Every home business wants you to think that theirs is the best, so some fluff and hype can pretty much always be expected. However, you need to watch out for the business opportunities that overdo it. There is no way that any business can guarantee you will earn that much and they certainly can’t know how long it will take you to do it, if it even is possible.

Credibility -I would not join a business opportunity unless it is in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and other credible organizations. Plus it should have a good reputation with current and previous members.

Product(s) -Is the product something that people will actually want and use often? Look for a business opportunity with products that are used regularly. This will help you tremendously in getting new customers as well as repeat business from previous customers.

Free to Join Not every legitimate home business is free. In fact, many are not, but it is definitely a good sign if they at least let you check it out for free to see if it is for you. It is nearly impossible to build a successful home business without some monetary investment, so you will probably have to break into your piggy bank at some point.

Lead Generation System - Until you get more experienced at marketing it will be very difficult for you to bring in very many leads on your own. Good business opportunities will have a way for you to purchase high quality targeted leads for a fair price.

Resources and Training and Support Every good home business opportunity should have a resource center that members can go to for support, training, and resources to help them succeed with their home business. Your questions should be answered quickly and accurately and there should be more than one means to get help. Members should have two or more of the following available to them at all times; upline members, email support, phone support, live chat, or a forum.

work at home
James Schramko asked:

If you are like a growing number of people who are considering freeing yourself from the daily grind of your job, its great to know that there is a growing number of work from home opportunities available to you.

It would be impossible to list them all here, but consider these few to start with.

One of the work from home options that is quite popular for people who leave their jobs because they realize that they are spending too much money on child care that it isn’t worth working is starting your own child care business at home.

You can certainly make good money babysitting at home, but you should consider the costs of this type of job.

You new business will need to be advertised in your community newspaper. You will need to buy extra food each week to feed the additional mouths. You will need to have age appropriate toys for all of the kids you keep, as well as activities for holidays, birthdays, and things like that.

Then you have to consider the cost of repairs to your home and the items in it when the kids you watch tear them up.

Perhaps there are better work at home options than bringing others into your home. Perhaps you could find something that you can make money from home on the internet, like one of those turnkey business opportunities that you see advertised on late night television and that you get ads for in your e-mail.

Such turnkey businesses are excellent work at home options, but you need to make an initial investment: pay the monthly fees to host your website, and budget some money for advertising etc, but it is worth it if you take the right steps to make your business successful.

But are these work from home sites legitimate? That is a good question, and the answer is yes and no.

The work at home options that you find on work from home sites are usually perfectly legitimate and legal, but there are a few rogues out there that you will need to be careful of.

Watch out for the ones that make outrageous promises, like become a millionaire in your first month.

Watch out for the ones that don’t give you all of the information up front or that make you register to get the information.

Avoid any website that offers no contact information.
